Ofserv have partners whose inventory includes gas products that meet the highest performance and quality specifications, ranging from polyethylene pipe, meters and application specific valves to couplings, fittings, cathodic protection and hundreds of accessories and parts.
Gas Products:
- Anodes
These products are used in a variety of applications in both the gas utilities and gas transmission business sectors. For example, in the gas utilities sector, tracer wire is used to locate buried polyethylene pipe. The MDPE pipe is buried underground and the tracer wire is then laid directly on top of the pipe as a marker of sorts. Anodes are commonly used as part of large steel lines in the gas transmission sector. - Conventional PE Fusion Fittings

- Meter Nuts & Gaskets
- Regulators
- Unions - Insulated & Ground Joint
Fittings:
- Steel Couplings
The gas utilities and gas transmission sectors commonly rely on both steel fittings and polyethylene fittings. Polyethylene fittings are most commonly used in the gas utilities sector, due to their durability where steel fittings are used for larger pipeline applications. Transition fittings are used when the gas needs to be split away from a larger metal line and diverted into a smaller polyethylene or other plastic distribution line. Transition fittings are made of both materials, metal on one end and plastic on the other. - Electrofusion Fittings

Valves:
- Ball
Ball and lubricated plug valves are the most common type of valve used in the midstream gas transmission sector. These valves can be either polyethylene or steel, depending on the application. Lubricated plug valves are made of either ductile iron or carbon steel, depending on the application. Carbon steel ball valves are ideal for larger transmission pipelines while smaller diameter polyethylene valves are more suited to the gas utilities sector due to their ease of installation and long-term durability. - Control

Pipe:
- Abrasion Resistant Overcoating (ARO)
The gas utilities and gas transmission sectors rely heavily on polyethylene pipe. While carbon steel pipe is still used in specific applications, polyethylene pipe is used in most gas gathering and residential gas service applications. Polyethylene pipe is a less expensive product that also lasts longer and is corrosion resistant. It cannot be used for the large pipelines coming from the well but in smaller sizes, it is an ideal solution. High density polyethylene pipe (HDPE pipe) is typically used in the oil patch for transporting product under higher pressures while medium density polyethylene pipe (MDPE pipe) is more common in neighborhoods and the gas utilities sector where product is moved under lower pressures. - Bare, Coated & Wrapped
